Man and Van hire + Short term storage
Our Man & Van Hire offering is available in Canterbury, Folkestone, Herne Bay, Ashford the South of England and London. We do however cover the UK and Europe.
At Chalk & Son Ltd we are proud of our Man and a Van Customer Service ethos, working with us should be a pleasure. Common courtesy and manners cost nothing, when they are reciprocated the world is a better place!
Our Man and Van Hire means our gentlemen drivers are there to lift your effects to and from our vehicles and drive our fully insured vehicles to and from the start points and destinations of your choice, you can even jump in with them for your move.
Prices are based on a flat hourly rate per hour, no mileage or petrol costs added. If you need more than 1 person to help with the lifting we can arrange this.
We can also offer short term storage facilities and waste disposal services.

With this in mind you can choose the pricing plan that best suits your needs. Depending on the size and scale of your removal needs, you can choose our fixed rate removal or our hourly pricing scheme.
All prices are inclusive of VAT – No hidden charges – No fuel charge – and no mile charge.

3 Men and a Van = £65 per hour

- Disassemble and Reassembling – we can disassemble and re-build your furniture.

3 Men and a Van = £235 — Up to 20 Large Boxes included free of charge.

Nationwide Removals
For long distance quotes over 20 miles please call or email us.
We regularly undertake “part load” van trips around the UK so if you have a small removal or delivery we can possibly take it as a part load to minimise your cost and increase our utilisation
Short term storage facilities
We can also offer over 1000sq ft of short term storage facilities at our dry, secure storage facility. Please talk to us for a quote or to discuss your needs.
Waste disposal
Jobs which entail pure waste disposal. A cost for the disposal of waste will be levied. WE WILL BE COMPETITIVE WITH SKIP HIRE.
